The Miami Dade College (MDC) Foundation, Inc. plays an essential role in the growth of the College and its service to the community. The Foundation promotes interest in and support of the College. The Foundation is vital to the College’s leadership in high quality, accessible and affordable educational services for the community.

Miami Dade College graduated 14,000 students across 8 campuses in 2011. President Obama spoke at the North and West graduations, and was the third U.S. President in the past four years to speak at an MDC graduation.

The Miami Culinary Institute officially opened to lots of fanfare, community support and accolades earlier this year providing the only regional public option for culinary studies and a curriculum totally steeped and rooted in sustainability. In its state‐of‐the art and “green” building, it provides dynamic programming for students, enthusiasts and the workforce in the restaurant and hospitality industries.

MDC Live! (formerly Cultura del Lobo) has a 20-year legacy of bringing unique, diverse performances from around the world to South Florida. Behind the scenes, the Series provides master classes by visiting artists, an essential component of the College’s mission to not only present the best in the arts, but also foster future artists and audiences through meaningful educational experiences.
